PRESTONSBURG, Ky.(WYMT)- A Floyd County mother who allegedly abandoned her son that had suffered a stab wound faces charges.
The Floyd County Times report Melissa Fisher allegedly allowed her son to get so drunk that he stabbed himself.
Police say Fisher told them she and her boyfriend tried to take her son to the hospital when he jumped out of the vehicle and they lost contact with him and started drinking again.
She is charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and unlawful transaction with a minor.
