Woman injured in Powell County crash

STANTON, Ky. (WYMT) - We have learned a woman is recovering following an overnight crash in Powell County.

It happened around 10:30 Sunday night at the 22 mile marker near Stanton.

Police say Cathy Potter, 58, from Lexington hit a deer, left the road, flipped and finally stopped.

Potter was airlifted to UK Hospital and is in stable condition.

Police say she was wearing her seat belt and drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash.

The road is open both directions.
