Woman is sentenced for killing her newborn in a prison bathroom

CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - A woman learns her punishment for admitting she killed her newborn in a prison bathroom.

The Times-Tribune reports Ashley Cox received twenty years in prison on manslaughter and other charges.

She gave birth back in 2010 while visiting a friend at an Oldham County prison.

Police say she stuffed the baby's mouth with toilet paper and put the body in the trash.
