Woman robbed at Corbin business

A man is in jail after police say he robbed a woman over the weekend at a southern Kentucky Walmart.

Early Saturday morning police say a man was riding around on an electronic scooter at the Corbin Walmart when he approached a woman and told her he had a knife.

Police say he then took her to the back of the store where he put his hands around her neck and demanded money.

Management walked by and called police.

Police say the two people involved did not know each other, and they were customers in the store.

26-year-old Homer J. Lovett was arrested and charged with first degree robbery and criminal trespassing, among other charges.

He is being in the Laurel County Detention Center on a $25,000 dollar cash bond.
