Woman robbed in Laurel County business

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – A woman was robbed in Laurel County around midnight Friday.

It happened at a business on South Stewart Road.

According to police, 26 year old Homer J. Lovett of Corbin, backed the woman into a corner by saying he had a knife.

He then demanded money while choking her around her neck.

Lovett was later arrested and charged with Criminal trespass, public Intoxication, and possession of a Controlled Substance.

He is currently in the Laurel County Detention Center.
