Police say a woman is caught on tape firing a gun near her own children.
Vanessa Wood of Pike County is charged with wanton endangerment.

During a preliminary hearing on Thursday, state police testified Vanessa Wood and her live-in boyfriend got into a fight at their home in Marrowbone on January 14th.
The trooper said both threatened to shoot each other.
Troopers say weeks later, Woods boyfriend brought them a tape of the surveillance video at their home. The trooper says that tape shows Wood's standing on the porch and firing a hunting rifle near her boyfriend and their two children who were outside.

"She takes that, works action on it, puts a round in the chamber, locks the action forward and you see her shoulder come back. There's no audio, but it's clear that she shot the gun. Then afterwards, the kids run, you see them, they all go hiding. There's a camper trailer in the front yard. They go hiding behind there," said the KSP Trooper.

Wood's defense attorney argued she did not fire the gun towards the children.

The judge sent the case to the grand jury.

Wood is out of jail on bond.
