A Johnson County woman is sentenced to 14 years in prison after she convicted of killing her ex-boyfriend.
Prosecutors say Donna Wheeler shot James T. Sparks at her home last year.
She was charged with murder, but last month the jury convicted her on the lesser charge of manslaughter.
Friday morning, officials say the judge upheld the jury's sentence recommendation and sentenced her to 14 and a half years.
