The flood waters are beginning to slowly recede across most of Eastern Kentucky and the snow showers are coming to an end. Roads will remain slick tonight as temperatures drop below zero. Work is underway to restore the Doughboy Statue that West Liberty lost in the March tornado outbreak.
The Herald-Leader reports that two artists are working on it in Rowan County.
The Doughboy, one of 140 around the country, arrived in West Liberty in 1927.
It's to honor American soldiers who fought in World War I.
Morgan County's Judge-Executive says the county will display the Doughboy inside the new courthouse.
