Crews repairing a Kentucky bridge spent the day after Christmas on the job.

Workers have started installing 1,200 tons of steel beams on the Sherman Minton Bridge in Louisville. It closed in September because of a crack.

A Louisville television station reports crews will do the work in assembly line fashion. Officials hope bridge work will be finished by March.
