LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth has donated his
Congressional salary to more than 24 non-profit organizations in
Yarmuth told WFPL radio that he is "very fortunate" to be able
to assist the charities, noting that many have had to cut budgets
that were already tight (http://bit.ly/y3q0GT).
Yarmuth pledged to give away his congressional salary when he
first ran to represent the 3rd District in 2006. Since taking the
seat, he has donated more than $600,000.
