For some businesses, the harsh winter weather we've had is a blessing, but for others it's a curse.
Snow is still on the ground at Lee Chevrolet in Pineville.
While workers say its put the breaks on some window shoppers, overall it has not halted business.
"The snow has hampered our service department but its really helped our body shop so we can't complain," said Steve Bailey with Lee Chevrolet.
The fender benders caused by slick roads mean some extra business during what's typically a slow season.
Just down the road in Middlesboro at Dream Furniture ... the open sign is on, but the snow is not welcomed.
"It has slowed us down," said Jack Hensley with Dream Furniture.
With this short break in the weather, workers are playing catchup.
"We have not been able to make deliveries because of the road conditions. Now that its warmed up everyone wants their delivery at one time. Its got us running behind and working late," said Hensley.
But the business that's booming... you guessed it.... supply stores.
At Jim Brown Supply Store, the harsh winter means big sales.
No matter how the snow and ice is affecting business... old man winter will be around the region for the next several weeks.
Business owners say breaks in the weather like we've had on Monday are welcomed relief because typically costumers will take advantage of the decent weather and venture out.
This brings a much needed boost in sales after slow days.
