Diwali gets an encore in Pikeville

Updated: 11/16/2013 - Over one-hundred folks gathered at University of Pikeville on Saturday to recognize the Hindu holiday Diwali, despite its official celebration date occurring earlier in the month. The event, called “KYCOM Diwali Celebration," was organized by faculty members at the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and others in the community. The event included dancing, food, and other activities.
