Lawmakers debate Kentucky constables' power

Updated: 5:17 PM It's a controversial elected position one a state lawmaker wants to eliminate. A Jefferson County representative has proposed a bill to strip constables of their power. The proposal comes just a few weeks after a grand jury indicted Jefferson County constable for shooting a shoplifting suspect outside a Walmart. While incident lead some to question the need for constables, smaller communities say they're a valuable resource.
