A slow moving cold front will bring rain back to the mountains Tuesday afternoon and evening. Some storms could contain heavy rain and could lead to new flash flooding. Keep an eye on water levels in flood prone areas and do not cross flooded roadways.
Nearly three-thousand people died on 9-11 and five years later, local rescue workers say they will never forget.
Lieutenant Robert Lindsey with the Pikeville Fire Department says emergency responders across the nation were affected by 9-11.
He says losing one rescue worker is hard but to lose more than 300 in one day, is emotionally hard for everyone, especially when they are trying to save lives.
Chief Lindsey also says he hopes the increased homeland security and the memories of 9-11, never fade away.
