One killed, two injured in Wolfe County crash

WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT/WYMT) - A crash in eastern Kentucky has killed one person and sent two others to the hospital.

The crash happened just before 6 p.m. Monday night around exit 40 of the Mountain Parkway in Wolfe County.

State Police say Chad Jones lost control of his Mitsubishi, crossing over the center line and into the path of an oncoming Jeep.

A state reconstruction unit spent hours at the scene trying to figure out how the crash happened.

His passenger, 37-year-old Dana Lutes of Campton died at the scene.

Jones was taken to UK Hospital with possible life threatening injuries.

The driver of the jeep, Cathy Holthouser, is also at UK with non-life threatening injuries.
