Daytona Baseball announces new Advanced-A affiliation with Cincinnati Reds

Posted: 09/18/2014 - Daytona Baseball announced, Thursday, that Big Game Florida and the Cincinnati Reds have partnered on a four-year deal to make Radiology Associates Field at Jackie Robinson Ballpark the home of the Reds class A-Advanced club through at least 2018. Affiliated baseball is guaranteed in Daytona Beach through at least 2022. Big Game Florida Owner Andy Rayburn is thrilled about the opportunity to partner with the Reds.

Patriot women’s soccer upended by St. Catharine 3-1

Posted: 09/18/2014 - The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Soccer program fell to 0-6 on the season with a home loss to Mid-South Conference opponent St. Catharine College (SCC). The Patriot ladies struggled to hit their stride scoring and dropped the match with a final score of 3-1.

Morehead State's Rice named OVC Women's Golfer of the Week

Posted: 09/17/2014 - Morehead State junior Katie Rice has been named adidas Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the period of Sept. 10-16. The weekly honor is Rice's first this school year and the third of her career.

UC men's golf finishes 6th at Deer Park Classic

Posted: 09/17/2014 - The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men’s Golf program had a bit of a slip up this week as they competed in the Deer Park Classic in Oglesby, Illinois. The Patriots came into the tournament off a 2nd place finish at the Bill Sergent Invitational and were looking to get back on track, but a tough opening round set UC back a bit en route to a 6th place finish out of 11 teams.

Railsplitters break into NSCAA national rankings, move to No.4 in region poll

Posted: 09/17/2014 - The Railsplitters (3-0, 1-0 SAC) moved up to No.4 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II southeast region poll and broke into the national rankings at No.25, officials with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced on Tuesday. Lincoln Memorial is the only South Atlantic Conference men's soccer program ranked inside either the top eight of the region poll or the top 25 of the national poll.
