HINDMAN Ky. (WYMT) - The #1 Knott Central Patriots survived a match-up with #4 Hazard defeating them by the score of 94-86 in overtime.
The Pats found themselves in foul trouble late in the game and found themselves playing down the stretch with just two starters. Head coach B.B. King says it was a learning experience for his team.
"Well the biggest thing is, is our bunch didn't quit. Even after we got in foul trouble. Our bench came in and gave us a big lift" said King. "And, our kids won't quit. They will keep playing as hard as they can play, and that is all I can ask out of them."
"We have to be careful with our fouls because it really hurts us down the stretch. Besides that, I thought we played well" said forward Simon Christon. "I thought all of us shot the ball well and I thought all of us played together as a team."
