The number one Harlan County Black Bears are 7-0 for the first time in school history and looking to keep it going this Friday night against Whitley County.
Coach Tom Larkey's gang is not taking the Colonels lightly. Whitley County defeated Somerset and took number seven Perry County Central down to the wire in back to back weeks.
Larkey says Whitley County is a dangerous team.
"I think everyone was trying to write Whitley off, and I don't,” Larkey says. “Because they've made some personnel changes and they've worked that team hard kept them out there working and they've really improved in the past few weeks from being able to beat Somerset and playing other teams really close and hanging in there with Perry Central. They're a team you got to respect and I do.”
