East Ridge has been in the Mountain Classic three times and for the third consecutive visit the Warriors lost in the opening round. Perry Central's largest lead in the first half was seven as Tyler Mullins had six of his 12 in the second quarter. PCC never pulled away and had trouble putting the Ridge in the books. Korey Fields led the Warriors with 15 points and Jake McClanahan added nine. Allan Hatcher's team got a boost from Chris Noble who had a team high 15 for PCC, his highest production in the last four games. Noble had 11 in the third quarter hitting three 3-pointers from the left wing.
For Allan Hatcher it was career win number 691 and his first at the Mountain Classic. Perry Central moves on to play Clay County in the semi-finals on Friday. Clay County beat Letcher Central 55-50. East Ridge will play Letcher Central in the consolation bracket on Thursday at 6:30pm.
