University of Tennessee classes have resumed and eight football student-athletes have gained admittance and will participate in spring practice.
In addition to junior college transfer Matt Simms, the Vols signed seven high school graduates: Tyler Bray, Channing Fugate, Ja’Wuan James, Ted Meline, Corey Miller, Matthew Milton and Jacques Smith. That group brings to 27 the number of high school graduates that have enrolled mid-term for the Volunteers. Last season, Tennessee had two mid-term high school graduates join the squad in January.
Spring drills are scheduled to begin March 2, but that is tentative.
