#8 Johnson Central vs. Clay County Preview

Posted: Sat 1:28 AM, Sep 03, 2011

In game two of the Appalachian Wireless Bowl, the Number 8 Johnson Central Golden Eagles will take the field against the Clay County Tigers.

After a tough loss at home to now Number-Five Perry Central, JC is looking to rebound with a Win over Clay.

In order to get the victory, Coach Jim Matney knows he’ll have to get all the pieces to the puzzle together before kickoff, with the keystone cog, the offensive line leading the way.

"It was one of the worst blocking games that we've had,” Matney says. “And not just that though. I think fatigue and cramping really hurt us last week. But those are things that are correctable. The bad news is we played awful. The good news is that I think that all the pieces to the puzzle are there. We just have to figure out how to put the pieces together."
