Woodson Gets Another National Honor

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Quarterback André Woodson has been selected as the AT&T All-America Player of the Week for his performance in the 40-34 win over Louisville.

The honor was done in a nationwide vote of fans, which concluded Wednesday night and was announced during Thursday night’s Texas A&M at Miami game. Against the Cardinals, Woodson completed 30 of 44 passes for 275 yards and four touchdowns.

AT&T congratulates André for his tremendous performance for the University of Kentucky football team last week, and we wish him the best of luck throughout the season,” said Dave Garver, executive director of business development and wireless sponsorships for AT&T’s wireless unit. “College football draws the most passionate fans, and this award gives them the chance to select the AT&T All-America Player of the Week all season long.

Woodson also was named the College Player of the Week by The Sporting News and the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week by the league office.
