Atlanta Braves pitcher Jonny Venters has had his four-game suspension rescinded by Major League Baseball.
The decision was made by MLB's Executive Vice President of Administration and interim Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations, John McHale, Jr., after a hearing earlier in the week.
The fine handed down along with the suspension was reduced.
Venters drew his suspension after he threw behind and over Prince Fielder's head with the first pitch of the eighth inning on Saturday, July 17 and hit him in the back with his next offering. Venters was immediately tossed out of the game.
