The #9 Hazard Bulldogs are looking to rebound off of their 14-0 loss to #5 Somerset last week.
The Bulldogs enter their game with Lexington Christian at 1-1. Over the past four seasons these two team have met with a trip to state on the line. But L.C.A. now resides in Class 2A. However, this game is still a huge rivalry, and a win for the Bulldogs is imperative.
"You know, it's a big rivalry, the last four years with us. They have a great football team. They have a great group of young men playing for them. They get after it defensively. We are going to have to be ready and we are excited to get to play them again," says head coach Mark Dixon.
"I'll tell you what, they are as good defensively as they have ever been. They get after you defensively. They play hard. They run the football well. Offensively, they've got a nice little quarterback that throws the ball well. We are just going to have to be at home and be at the right spot at the right time."
The game between the #9 Hazard Bulldogs and the Lexington Christian Eagles will take place this Friday night at 7:30pm at Daniel Field in Hazard. In the last four years, the series is tied at 3-3 with the Bulldogs winning in the state semi-final game last season. You can watch the game live right here on WYMT.
