Berea, Ky. (February 27th, 2012) - The KIAC coaches selected Indiana University East guard Marcus Isaac as the conference player of the year and Indiana University Southeast head coach Wiley Brown as the conference coach of the year. Cincinnati Christian University guard Kevin Mitchell was also named newcomer of the year.

Marcus Isaac led IU East to a 24-7 overall record and an 11-2 conference record. The Red Wolves were ranked in the NAIA Division II top fifteen most of the season. Isaac was third in the conference with 19.03 points per game and was second in the conference with a field goal percentage of 54.3 percent. He ranked second nationally in free throw percentage (89.2 percent) and was fifth nationally in 3-point field goal percentage (46.6 percent).

IU Southeast head coach Wiley Brown led the Grenadiers to a 23-7 overall record and finished the regular season first in the conference with a 12-1 record. IU Southeast is the top seed in the KIAC tournament and was ranked in the NAIA Division II top twenty most of the season.

Cincinnati Christian University freshman guard Kevin Mitchell was named the newcomer of the year. Mitchell was second in the conference with 20.52 points per game.
