PIKEVILLE, Ky. – A young lady from Paul G. Blazer High School in Ashland will play collegiate golf and continue her educational opportunities at the University of Pikeville.
Allison O’Neil Glockner, daughter of Jim and LuAnn Glockner, has signed a scholarship agreement with UPIKE.
Glockner, who played in four events on the EKJGA Walmart Tour last summer, is a four-year member of the Kitten golf team. She competed in the regionals the last two seasons and used steady practice and lessons from Steve Kennedy, the pro at Hidden Cove Golf Course to take between 15-20 strokes off her game.
She has a 3.93 grade-point average and is involved in 10 clubs at the school, including the student council, Youth Leadership of Boy and Greenup Counties, the academic team and the National Honor Society.
Glockner participates in community theater and hopes to major in biology at the university.
