Barker talks Kentucky recruitment

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) - Mark Stoops and company are at it again, as Friday afternoon they received a verbal commitment from 2014 quarterback Drew Barker.

Barker is one of the higher rated quarterback prospects in the country, and says Kentucky wasn't in the picture until the new staff was hired. After his announcement, he talked about offensive coordinator Neal Brown and the recruiting process.

"Coach (Neal) Brown, they came in right away, right when they got the job," says Barker. "It was two days later, they came to see a basketball game and they came watched me throw, and offered me that night. So it was within a week or two, right when they got the job when they offered me. Coach Brown is just a great guy. I think his offense is going to do really well at Kentucky. We just got to get the play makers there."
