MOREHEAD, Ky. - The Morehead State baseball team will be wrapping up fall practice by holding its annual Blue/Gray Banana Split World Series.
The seven-game, intrasquad series will begin on Friday at 6 p.m. ET, with game two on Saturday at 1 p.m. and game three set for Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Games 4-7 will be played the week of Oct. 22-25, with practices concluding on Friday, Oct. 25.
"I look forward to seeing how we perform in our Fall World Series," Head Coach Mike McGuire said. "This is as close as we can come to simulating spring games. With so many roles yet to be determined and positions up for grabs, I expect it to be a very intense series."
The program will also be celebrating Parent's Weekend surrounding the series, with a special Parents Weekend dinner to be held on Saturday night for parents, relatives and friends.
"The guys look forward to this series, and Parent's Weekend makes it a great event," McGuire said. "It's been a good fall to this point, and I'm excited about our team. We've had very good competition both positionally and on the mound, which is an indication of our added depth this year."
The two teams will alternate as home and visitors for the series. The Gray team will be managed by Assistant Coach Jeff Stanek, with Assistant Coach Adam Brown at the helm of the Blue team and Assistant Coach Graham Johnson serving as pitching coach for both teams.
The series is free to the public, and Eagle fans are encouraged to attend and get a sneak peak at this year's team.
The rosters for each of the two teams are as follows:
