The 27th annual Community Trust Bank WYMT Pike County Bowl kicks off Friday night.

It will be student vs. the teacher as #4 Belfry welcomes in Harrison County. Thoroughbred’s coach, mark Carroll played under pirates coach, Philip Haywood at Belfry.

Both are expecting a tough physical contest Friday night.

“I’ll I’m hearing from other coaches is they were very athletic,” Belfry Coach, Philip Haywood says. “Big tall, receivers and their quarterback and tailback back and a few lineman and all these three year starters I’m a lot more worried now than I was just talking with some other coaches.”

“They've worked hard to try to put our program on the map so to speak in a lot of ways,” Harrison County Coach, Mark Carroll says. “And with some returning starters and good experience at key positions, I think that we have an opportunity to just continue to make our program better this year.”
