The Bengals today re-signed four players whose Cincinnati contracts had expired after the 2011 season. They are FB Chris Pressley, DT Nick Hayden, HB Cedric Peerman and LB Vincent Rey.
Pressley is a fourth-year player. He was the team’s No. 1 fullback last season and played in 15 games, aiding a 1067-yard rushing season by HB Cedric Benson and contributing to pass protection that ranked tied for fourth in the NFL in fewest sacks allowed (25).
Hayden and Peerman are third-year players, and Rey is a second-year player.
Hayden played in two games last season and had three tackles. Peerman played in 15 games and tied for second in special teams tackles (13) while also seeing some action on offense. Rey played in every game and had nine special teams stops, and also saw action on defense.
