Berry Scores 30 But Cavaliers Fall

Montgomery, West Virginia - Host West Virginia Tech enjoyed one of its better shooting performances of the year by connecting on 58.3 percent of its attempted shots en route to a 107-71 victory over visiting UVa-Wise on Thursday.

The victorious Golden Bears were led by Eddie Hayden who scored 22 points on ten of 17 shooting; in addition, Hayden pulled down 17 rebounds in the contest. UVa-Wise was led by a 30 point performance by Travis Berry. Berry fired in four, three point baskets for the Cavaliers while finishing a perfect four of four from the charity stripe.

The loss drops UVa-Wise to 5-7 on the season, the Cavaliers will return to Mid-South action on Saturday when the team travels to the University of Rio Grande for a 4:00 p.m. tip. The game can be heard live on 93.5 WAXM or online at www.waxm.com
