Betsy Layne will focus on all areas vs. Prestonsburg

BETSY LAYNE, Ky. (WYMT) - In the pre-season, Betsy Layne coach Jonathan Parsons said his Bobcats would be more of a spread team in 2012.

Junior quarterback Dylan Hamilton has played well lately, and receivers Peyton Case and Blake Spencer have shown to be reliable targets. With Prestonsburg allowing nearly 500 yards through the air last week, Parsons says it will be tempting to throw the ball, but his team will be focused on all aspects of the game.

"Well it tempts us to (throw it around), but we're going to try to do our little gameplan, and our gameplan is going to be from start to finish, from offense to defense to special teams to certain times for timeouts. We're going to try to break the game down to where we can try to get the most in our favor. Prestonsburg is a good team. Great coaching staff. Great players. It'll be a good game," says Parsons.
