BAXTER, Ky. (WYMT) - As we near the opening night for the 2013 WYMT Whayne Supply Mountain Basketball Classic, one of the bigger first round games is No. 3 Hazard and No. 5 Harlan County.
Last season, Hazard defeated the Black Bears on a buzzer beating shot, and this time around, Harlan County is looking to show that they are one of the better teams in all the mountains.
"We just feel like we didn't play well, not to take anything away from Hazard," says Black Bear head coach Mike Jones. "We got down really bad, double digits, and had to come back, and finally tied the game up, and we just made some mistakes defensively at the end of the game, and they made a big shot and won. We're looking forward to playing in the WYMT (Mountain Basketball Classic). We're hoping that we can go over there and prove to people that we are one of the best teams in the Mountains, and there's no better way to prove that than the WYMT."
