Bobcats aim to make strong showing in Mountain Classic

JACKSON, Ky. (WYMT) - The Breathitt County Bobcats are back in the WYMT Whayne Supply Mountain Basketball Classic for the first time since 2008.

Despite their current 7-7 record, the Bobcats feel they are deserving to be in this year's tournament, and expect to make a good showing against some stiff competition, and are aiming to be the first Breathitt team to win the Classic.

"Really, I think that Breathitt County, we deserve to be in the Mountain Classic, and we want to play the best that we can, and we want to make a good showing, and make the people of Breathitt County proud of us, and I think we're going to do that," says Bobcat head coach Denny Fugate.

"We're real excited, cause I don't think Breathitt has ever won it or anything. It'll probably be real good to be the first team to win it from Breathitt," adds junior guard Wes Noble.
