Cats land 4-star Georgia prospect

LEXINGTON, Ky. Kentucky football coach Mark Stoops and his staff continue to add to their 2014 recruiting class. The nation's No. 1 all-purpose back committed to Stoops and the Cats Thursday. Stanley "Boom" Williams out of Georgia chose Kentucky over West Virginia and Clemson. Kentucky Sports Radio's Matt Jones says Williams' commitment to the Wildcats just proves even more that Stoops is the best recruiter Kentucky has ever had.

"A commitment from Stanley 'Boom' Williams is just further confirmation that even in six months, (Mark) Stoops is the best recruiter Kentucky's ever seen at this school," says Jones. "Right now, they're ranked top five nationally (in the class of 2014). Now, they're not going to stay there, but he's still situated to, when it's all said and done have a top 15 recruiting class at Kentucky, which is about twice as good as UK has ever had."
