WISE, Va. - UVa-Wise (10-12, 6-11 Mid-South) held a five point lead with just over four minutes to play but could not hang on as #3 Lindsey Wilson (24-3, 14-3 Mid-South) would go on a 9-0 run in just over three minutes to post a 60-55 victory at the Prior Center on Saturday.
Kalen Kimberland made 15 of 18 free throws en route to a game-high 21 points for Lindsey Wilson, he was the only Blue Raider to score in double figures. The visitors relied heavily on forced turnovers for the come from behind victory as UVa-Wise committed 21 turnovers in the loss.
In the loss, Jermaine Wright and Deon Boyce each posted double-doubles. Wright scored 14 and grabbed 10 rebounds while Boyce finished with 12 points and 10 boards.
UVa-Wise will return to action on Thursday when the team travels to Shawnee State for a 4:00 p.m. tip.
