WILLIAMSBURG Ky. - The University of the Cumberlands (UC) football program had its first setback of the season on Saturday as they ended a brutal battle with NAIA #2 ranked Georgetown College with a 41-35 loss, their first in 12 games dating back to last season. One Patriot had a standout game above the rest and for his work earned another weekly honor.
Terrance Cobb (Knoxville, TN) was named the BSN Athlete of the Week on Monday for his stellar performance against Georgetown. Cobb was a terror in the backfield against a Tiger defense that previously allowed less than 100 yards per game on the ground. He carried the ball 25 times for the Patriots for an outstanding 258 yards and 3 touchdowns. His performance kept the Patriots close throughout the entire game including giving UC an early 7-0 lead and tying the game two times throughout the game.
The Patriots will be back in action at home on Saturday October 20th as they host UVA-Wise in a Mid-South Conference (MSC) East Division matchup. Kickoff is set for 1:30 pm.
