Commodores must contain #4 Black Bears

HAZARD Ky. (WYMT) - The Perry Central Commodores are coming off of a district win Friday night after defeating Letcher Central 41-22. Now, they turn their attention to the #4 Harlan County Black Bears.

We all know about the star power of running back Jake Middleton, who is creeping up on 1,500 yards and 25 touchdowns. But the Black Bears have a host of other players who are just as dangerous.

"I don't really want to discount those other guys they have. They have a #2 (Cole Wilson), receiver they get the ball to a little bit", said Commodore head coach Justin Haddix.

"I think he is a guy that can really run on the sweeps, you know Middleton, then they have #28 (Treyvon Long), who also can get on some things. They have some people that can really run. And the kid they moved to quarterback can really run. You know, he played receiver before. They have some weapons too. We are going to have our hands full and our guys are going to have to play 48 minutes."
