Perry County Central went 7-4 under first year coach, Justin Haddix.
Now the commodores are looking to improve on that mark and win a district title.
Perry central returns basically all of last year's offensive weapons including quarterback, Kyle Huff.
On defense, Matthew Robinson will look to anchor that side of the ball.
Haddix says last year doesn't matter and his team is focused on 2011.
“We really start in the weight room,” Haddix says. “We kind of forget, you forget about the last year. Just like I told all of those kids it doesn't matter what they did last year, you got to prove it now. Even the kids that did good, Austin Pray had 50 catches, Matt Robinson had 160 something tackles. But that doesn't mean anything we got to go play and our first game is against Prestonsburg and we got to come out and be ready to play then.”
Perry Co. Central will host the Blackcats on August, 19th.
