Cumberlands to induct five into Athletic Hall of Fame

The University of the Cumberlands plans to honor a special group of athletic personnel as they will be inducted into the 2012 Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, February 25, 2012. Joining this elite club will be Tom Dowling (Football Coach), David Estes (Outstanding Service - Broadcasting), Charles Reed (Track), Ken Smith (Track), and Christen Heideman Von Hertsenberg (Swimming; unable to attend).

The ceremony will be held during halftime of the Patriot men's basketball game versus Campbellsville University in the O. Wayne Rollins Center. Tip-off for that game is slated to begin at 4:00 PM. Also in action that day will be Coach Melissa Irvin's Patriot ladies at 2:00 PM as they host the Lady Tigers of Campbellsville.
