LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - These days the Kentucky-Louisville rivalry
has an international flavor to it.
Kentucky coach John Calipari is using rival Louisville's
homecourt for an exhibition game between former Wildcat players and
the Dominican Republic national team he's coaching.
The first exhibition game will be at Rupp Arena on Monday; the
second is Tuesday at the KFC Yum! Center. Two players on the
Dominican team are former Cardinals players.
Louisville coach Rick Pitino earlier in the week seemed annoyed
that the exhibition would be played at the Yum! Center.
Calipari says the plan was to use Louisville's on-campus arena,
Freedom Hall, but it "had a concert. We checked."
The website for Freedom Hall does not have any event listings
for Tuesday.
