BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – For the sixth time this season, Eastern Kentucky University junior guard Glenn Cosey was named as the adidas Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week on Monday, the league announced from its Brentwood, Tenn., headquarters.
The Flint, Mich., native had 17 points, two assists and a steal in Eastern’s win over Tennessee Tech. He tied for a game-high 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field in a victory over Jacksonville State. Cosey made 4-of-7 from deep against the Gamecocks.
In both games combined Cosey averaged 19 points, two assists and 1.5 steals. He shot 46 percent from the field, including 39 percent from three-point range.
The Colonels will play their final home game of the regular season on Wednesday when Austin Peay visits McBrayer Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
