EKU's Berry named as an OVC Player of the Week

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) -- Eastern Kentucky's Jordan Berry has been named Ohio Valley Conference Specialist of the Week.

The 6-foot 5-inch, 205-pound senior punter from Australia averaged 59.3 yards on three punts and scored his first collegiate touchdown as EKU won 31-7 at Southeast Missouri on Saturday.

The senior punted three times for 179 yards, including a 76-yarder in the first quarter that was two yards shy of the EKU single-game record and his second punt of 75 or more yards this season.

In the second quarter he was the holder as EKU lined up for a 42-yard field goal attempt; he took the snap and ran 25 yards untouched for a touchdown that put the Colonels up 24-0.
