Eagle softball ready for Seahawk Classic

MOREHEAD, Ky. – Coming off a 1-3 finish last weekend in Miami, the Morehead State softball team is ready for a weekend at the Seahawk Classic in Wilmington, N.C.

The Eagles picked up their lone victory in a 2-1 contest with Binghamton, before dropping games with Connecticut and Florida International.

Junior Stephanie Etter led the team with a .438 batting average, while senior Katie Pfost earned MSU’s lone win the circle.

The Eagles start the weekend with Saturday contests against Maryland-Baltimore County and host UNC Wilmington, and finish with Gardner-Webb and a UMBC rematch on Sunday afternoon. This will be the first time the program has met any of these opponents.
