MOREHEAD, Ky. - Morehead State, off to its best Pioneer Football League start since 2007, continues conference action on Saturday when it entertains Dayton for Homecoming. Kick-off from Jayne Stadium is 1 p.m. ET.
The Eagles posted their third consecutive PFL victory -- a 42-28 decision at Valparaiso -- last Saturday. MSU, which is 3-4 overall and 3-1 in league play, has not won four straight games since 2005 (all in conference play).
The Flyers registered their third straight PFL win -- a 45-38 overtime triumph over San Diego -- last Saturday. UD, which is 5-2 on the season and 3-1 in conference action, has won two of its three road tilts this season.
Dayton has won four straight contests against Morehead State and owns a 13-5 edge in the all-time series. The Flyers scored 24 unanswered points en route to a 41-27 victory last year at Welcome Stadium.
Pink MSU Football "Join the Fight" stickers will be sold for $1 at Saturday's game. The proceeds will help fund the Remote Area Medical (RAM) group with their mammogram screenings at a local event in 2014.
Morehead State will honor members of its 2003 Pioneer Football League South Division Championship team during the game. All former football players are also invited to an alumni social after the game.
