Fugate's move to linebacker is paying off

KNOVILLE Tn. (WYMT) - Former Breathitt County running back and current Tennessee Volunteer Channing Fugate is beginning to find his rightful place on the roster.

He began his career as a fullback and did not get significant playing time at the position. During the spring, Channing made the switch to linebacker, and the move has paid off. Channing may be a backup, but according to head coach Derek Dooley, will see the field early and often.

"He is a real tough, hard nosed, dependable player. And, I am glad we switched him to defense. He is going to play a lot for us", said Dooley.
