HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - It was not just a big Signing Day for the Kentucky Wildcats, several coverage area players signed Wednesday to play at the next level as well.
At Hazard High School a trio of Bulldogs signed to play college football; tight end Chris Hudson signed with Miami (OH) University, fullback Kody Arnett signed with Morehead State, and linebacker Jacob Roll will be playing at the University of the Cumberlands.
"(Head coach Rob Tenyer) is getting a lot of new recruits coming in," said Arnett. "Last year they weren't where they were supposed to be, but this year they're going to change it around and they're really looking for a good season."
"Yeah, I've talked to (Head coach Matt Rhymer). Rhymer was my main recruiter. He got up with me about more than any other coach from any school," said Roll. "I'm going to go down there, and I'm going to play linebacker. I'm not sure about redshirting. I might do it if he thinks I should."
"I don't know, man. I just felt like it was the right fit for me. They said I was the number one recruit on their recruiting board," said Hudson. "When somebody wants you that bad they're going to come after you, and they came after me."
