Another mountain standout has signed to play baseball at the next level.

Hazard pitcher Austin Nidiffer will play at the University of Pikeville.

Nidiffer hit .272 with two homeruns and 23 RBI.

On the mound, Nidiffer was 6-3 with a 4.96 ERA and 53 strikeouts.

Nidiffer is looking forward to extending his baseball career...

“It means everything,” Nidiffer says. “I've always played baseball ever since I've been young. Just growing up, it's a dream come true to get four more years to play. It's just a good situation. It's close to home. Get to save some money and play baseball and get a good education all in one so it's a win, win.”
