BEATYVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Our next DQ Grill & Chill Countdown to Tip-off preview is the Bobcats of Lee County.
The Bobcats finished last season with an 11-16 overall record, and a first round exit from the 56th district tournament. The returning players are looking to use that loss as fuel for this season and to get back to their winning ways and playing in the regional tournament.
"I think we got a lot closer," says senior Chris Stamper. "We play a lot better together, and we play a lot faster as a team. I think we're just a lot more solid."
"Every time you think about it, every time you're in practice, you're like, 'Man, I want to win.' You know how it feels to win, and you know how it feels to lose, so you want the winning back," says Tyler Evans, a senior forward.
"We just think about it everyday, and how bad that loss hurt, and it makes us want to work harder in practice," adds Cody Johnson, a junior. "The harder you work, the better you can get, and we don't want to have those feelings repeated this year."
