CAMPTON, Ky. (WYMT) - The next team up in our DQ Grill & Chill Countdown to Tip-off series is the Wolfe County Lady Wolves.
Wolfe County will need to fill a void left by the graduation of Keisha Prater, who averaged 23.5 points per game. They will also need to make up for a lack of size with no player over the 5'8" this year. They will do that will their new found speed.
"Like I said, I guess this has been my sixth year coach. This is the quickest team I've had in the six years that I have been here," says head coach Gary Brown.
"We all play well together. We all like each other. And we just love each other," adds senior Katie Adams.
"Well, everybody is going to have to pick up some slack. We need some more rebounders, shooters. We are all going to have to take more shots than what we are used to, because we usually had Keisha to, you know, taking most of the shots. So, we are going to have to produce more from each person," says senior Cassie Spencer.
"We've had previous players to come in and do the majority of the scoring, so we are going to have to step up and score this year," says Kelly Hollon, a senior.
